Pilot Introduction of Breast Cancer Early Detection Programs in Colombia
Establishing a randomized trial with introducing opportunistic mammographic screening accompanied by annual standardized Clinical Breast Exam (CBE) for women aged 50 to 69 is the research goal of the pilot project lead by Raul Murillo, MD, MPH, National Cancer Institute of Colombia. A total of 20,000 women participating in healthcare centers in Bogotá, Colombia, are expected to be enrolled in this study, now in its second year of a two-year study period.
