GLOBAL SUMMIT: BHGI's "Global Summit on International Breast Health: Guidelines for International Breast Health and Cancer Control – Supportive Care and Quality of Life" was convened by the BHGI Alliance in cooperation with the United Nations International Atomic Energy (IAEA) Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT). Evidence-based Approach for Translating Theory into Practice
The Breast Health Global Initiative (BHGI), co-sponsored by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, pioneered development of comprehensive resource-sensitive, evidence based clinical Guidelines for International Breast Health and Cancer Control to improve breast cancer outcomes in low- and middle-resource countries (LMCs) through the collaboration of an alliance of dedicated organizations and individuals. A vibrant global network and 'go to' for information, BHGI is innovating development of Learning Laboratories to define critical in-country methodology for breast cancer care programs for LMCs through global collaborations.
