Evidence-based Approach for Translating Theory into Practice
To improve breast cancer outcomes in low- and middle-resource countries (LMCs), the Breast Health Global Initiative (BHGI) created comprehensive resource-sensitive, evidence-based clinical guidelines for breast health care and cancer control. In its next phase of innovation, BHGI will collaborate with global, regional and local organizations to pioneer the development of Learning Laboratories to define critical in-country methodology for establishing or expanding breast cancer care programs in LMCs.
By applying newly evolving principles and approaches of Implementation Science, BHGI will work with international partners to carry a clear and compelling vision of global health improvement from theory into practice.
